Catana 44 cruising catamaran

Mystic Rhythms is a 1993 Catana 44s blue water cruising boat located in the Philippines. We have been cruising for over 13 years and seen over 50 countries, but now feel it is time to move ashore.

The boat has recently been painted (hulls, deck, and bottom) and many upgrades have been made.

Asking 229,000 US Dollars

Mystic Rhythms is a Catana 44S (Crowther design) built in 1993. She is 44 feet long and 23 feet wide. Only 19 catana 44s were built and this is hull number 5. Each is a bit different, but I think they got it right on this boat with a light teak interior and better placement of the fuel and water tanks. The S in the 44 series means a bit fancier of an interior. She was originally 4 cabins and 4 heads, but now is 3 of each and one cabin was converted to an
office with a freezer.

Design features unique to
Catana are: - Asymmetrical hulls, which help prevent hobby horsing and aids in preventing the leeward hull from
being buried in a wave when sailing to windward at high speeds. In addition, all weight is concentrated toward the
center of the hulls making sure weight is kept to a minimum forward of the mast. - Daggerboards, which offer very
shallow sailing with boards up and closer windward sailing angles with boards down. In addition, there is an extra
margin of safety when sailing in heavy wind-sea conditions due to the ability to raise the daggerboards and "slide" off
the face of extremely high waves. Each Catana is constructed using vacuum-molded unidirectional roving
impregnated with isophthalic resin. Kevlar and carbon fiber are used in high load-stress areas. The entire structure is
cored with high-density Divinycell closed cell foam and all bulkheads are vacuum molded and cored with end-grain
balsa.

This boat is loaded and ready for cruising. The list of equipment is:
