Charts & More

I'm selling off a couple of old, useable laptops. Both have copies of CMap with world wide coverage plus Opencpn as well as various other bits of software, VPP, Tide Beta etc. Add your own GPS dongle and you'll a cheap chart plotter as a back up.

Any interest - email to ericandtobyatsea@hotmail.com

Re: CHARTS & MORE

How much are you asking, can you describe the laptops and tell us where you are?

Re: CHARTS & MORE

There are twp laptops.

Compaq Presario R3000. $65
Screen size Approx 15". Old. Heavy. 2 keys missing F6 and #6 ie the cover is missing but both keys function. Has XP home installed. Appears to be a legal copy. Battery condition is poor. After charging it will be useable for about 1/2 hour. Works fine on AC.

Laptop #2 $70
VAIO.
Screen size Approx 13". Newer and lighter than the Compaq. Keys are ok but I think one is loose but functions. Has an, apparently, non genuine copy of Windows 7. Battery condition is better than above but still poor in my view. Works fine on AC

Nav programmes intalled

CMap I think a section of Antarctica is missing....
OpenCpn V2.5. You can use Cmap without this.

Total Tide -a UK Hydrographic Office programme that covers
1. Europe, Northern Waters & Med
2. S. Atlantic & Southern Indian Ocean
3. Northern Indian Ocean & Red Sea to Singapore
4.Singapore to Japan
5. Australasia, Borneo & Philippines
6. Pacific inc NZ
7. North America (east Coast) and Caribbean

Tides & Currents

Covers both US coasts
Some Pacific Islands

Visual Passage PlannerElectronic Passage Charts. 12 months and most areas. Enables you to create a route and then check for wind strengths/wave heights etc over the route. Will offer alternative route depending on parameters set. Interesting but it is averages of averages and the weather can't read so use as a tool rather than a definitive.

Postage at cost

Currently in Belfast, Maine
