Re: Code Zero Head Sail with Furler

I earlier emailed you the furler model number: Schaefer System 650 which is currently $1029 in the 2012 West Marine Catalog. Dimensions of sail:

From the halyard attachment point on the top swivel to the attachment point at the lower edge of the sail: 46 feet, and another 18 inches to the snap shackle below the furler. The dimension from the luff (forward edge of the sail) to the sheet attachment point is around 22 feet--it was too windy this morning to get an accurate measurement.

Sail has had very little use--we have flown it probably six times-maximum. There is a very small amount of surface corrosion on the aluminum furler (cosmetic only) and several rust stains on the leech of the sail from lying in the sail locker.

I took some photos this morning, but they are not great.

We are now in St. Augustine, FL and will depart to Jacksonville later this week.

Re: Code Zero Head Sail with Furler

More on the Code Zero: Dimensions of the sail: From swivel attachment (where the halyard attaches) to the tack cringle is 46 feet; add 18 inches from the tack cringle to the snap shackle below the Schaefer System 650 furler. There is a ten inch pendant between the tack and the furler. Clew to tack is a whopping 28 feet 2 inches. The foot of the sail is parallel to the deck (cut like a genoa, and not high like a yankee). No patches, no signs of wear (it's been up perhaps six times max). Some rust spots on the leech and some cosmetic surface corrosion on the aluminum furler from lying in the sail bag. Sail in bag with furler, lead, and one sheet weighs 40 pounds. Add perhaps five pounds for shipping box. Dimensions of box are 15 inches high by 33 inches long by 27 inches wide. We will be in St. Augustine thru mid-June at Comachee Cove Marina
