Re: Cruisair Heat/AC, 16,000 BTU, Smx II control Panel

I am curious why you are selling.

I am considering the same. We bought the boat from someone who kept it at a slip with shore power. We are on a mooring and don't have a generator. We are also in New England so really don't need it. We are wondering if we will regret not having it if we go south to the caribbean and also install a generator. The goal is to reclaim storage space.

We admit to being old and likeing our comforts! so our air conditioning would be the Last thing we would remove from our boat ! All ya need to know about them is the nights when theres no wind and the bugs come out when its 80 plus dregrees in the ancorage your in !!! THEN ya know what ACs real reason for being aboard !!! Nothing like being able to shut the ports and turn it on for a GOOD Nights sleep! Of course we did admit to being old, but even if your young, sweat and bug bites even bother the young !! Just sayin, some things are worth the expense!!

Re: Cruisair Heat/AC, 16,000 BTU, Smx II control Panel

Hi,

The main reason is the size. It's pretty big and weighs a lot. I am planning on cruising, and won't be at the dock much. We took it off of our boat first thing when we bought the boat. Carribean in the winter and New England in the summer will leave is with no real need for one. I've heard they are great, but don't really know too much else.

Is the unit still for sale?

Is it a running take out?

Thanks

Re: Cruisair Heat/AC, 16,000 BTU, Smx II control Panel

The unit is still for sale. When we bought the boat, it was on board, but not connected, so I'm not sure if its running. The person who previously owned the boat maintained everything well. There are many people who do repairs if it happens not to work. Make me an offer if you're interested. I'm a motivated seller.
Thanks,

Hugo

Are you still in Charleston? I'll be there in October. Would like to make you an offer after seeing the unit. Interested?
