Hi! Contact a vet clinic in St. Thomas - USVI. Someone there will be able to help you. Once the dog arrives at STT airport, take St. John's ferry for the remaining leg of the trip. Keep us posted! Good luck!

Hi a new US federal law allows anyone to fly anywhere with their "service dog" a service dog can be any dog, just needs a service dog vest and etc. Can be a dog who helps you with any aspect of your life , physical or emotional... The airline MUST allow the dog to fly WITH YOU ON THE PLANE IN THE PASSENGER AREA.

Sorry to disagree with you! Service dogs are limited to a handful of breeds; not all dogs qualify. A chihwawa, for example, is a pet but NOT a service dog. Service dogs are gentle and show no bad temper towards strangers.

Please do not encourage people to break the law. Exploiting the laws that protect the disabled for personal gain is reprehensible. It is not a new law but the exploiting is sadly a new trend for some self serving 'people'. I use that term because my first choice isn't permitted by forum rules.

No they do not have to let you on. If you get caught be prepared for the consequences.

The last time on a airline there were 3 dogs and 2 cats on board. They were all well behaved. But I should have a choice to be able to fly animal free. The one that sat next to me said "It's so easy. Just tell your MD. That you have stress when you fly" The BS flag in mho.
