Facnor SD-130 Furler

This furler was removed from our boat with minor damage. The following parts are included:

Furler drum and lower bearings
Upper swivel w/bearings
7 x 2 metre foil sections
4 in excellent shape
2 with slight deformation on one end
1 with a slight kink and deformed end
1 x 1.7 metre telescoping foil section
3 x foil couplers
Screws to assemble sections, etc.

The maximum wire size acceptable is 7 mm or 9/32".

This is enough good sections and couplers for a stay length of around 9 metres. The two sections with belled ends can be made usable by simply filing off the expanded area and then lengths of around 13 metres could be accommodated. The section with the kink could be recovered, but with greater effort required. Additional couplers would have to be ordered to use those sections. Additionally, the small plastic bearings that are fitted in each section will need to be renewed. All parts can be ordered via Mike Strong at Strongropes in Sydney (9544 2535).

The replacement cost for this furler is around 2200 AUD. Buy this one for only $250!

Located for now on board Insatiable II, anchored around the Pittwater area in Broken Bay, NSW, Australia. Shipping for this awkward bundle of stuff would be difficult to organize, so a direct pickup would be good if possible!
