Re: Family Seek Help . . .

Hi Buddy

I hope this venture brings you happiness back to your family
I agree with other postings here that Sth East Asia, namely Malaysia has some great bargains to grab, in decent condition
As for Multihulls, yes great for liveaboard and fast sailing but remember if you dock in a marina berth, you will pay twice the fee of a monohull, and space is limited as well
Sth East Asia is great for Teenagers, as they will enjoy the warmer climate, sea and generally the friendly local atmosphere towards tourism. Tourist Visas for Brits are very easy
I have a few broker friends that could help if you want, just let me know and I can pass you the details
All the best
Wil
PS: 36' is a bit cramped for 3 people as liveaboard, I would suggest 45' upward for a monohull

Saw your email
started a funny conversation with sailing oppo's

one of which is a UK trained naval architect - he's spent the last couple of weeks working on this yacht - he's quite fond of it actually

please have a look at this yacht - yes its in the wrong side of the planet - but a really good place

Used 1983 ROBERTS 36 STEEL CUTTER Boat For Sale - boatsales.com.au

Roberts are a pretty ubiquitous design - this is a very sound yacht and from what you have said with your situation - it will leave you with good coin in the kitty for changes.

Ian

i'll try to call later today -

cheers

Ian
