Re: Flicka 20 for sale - $16000

I just sailed on a Flicka tonight. That little boat did 4.7 knots in very light wind. Beautiful lines. If I weren't a a liveaboard I would be really tempted by this boat.

Sweet boat!
I'm passing the link on to a friend. Wrong coast, but WTH.

Too small for my taste as a live-aboard -- unless I was crusing. it would be a great cruising boat.

Re: Flicka 20 - $16,000

I purchased my first Flicka this past June and single handed motor sailed her from Middle River, MD to Rock Port , TX. I lived aboard her 90 days during that 3,900+ mile voyage. It reminded me of living in a shepherds wagon, not that I have ever lived in one of those however. Her name is Wren, a 1974 Ryan Marine ferro cement gaffer cutter with a Yanmar inboard. I sold her three days after I landed Rock Port, the new owner David intends to live aboard and sail her to Belize.
I am so impressed with the Flicka that I just purchased a 1976 Nor'star project Flicka that presented herself here in Texas. I should have her seaworthy again and in the water come spring and hope to trailer her over to the Sea of Cortez and single hand her in those waters. Her new name is Desert Star.
If Desert Star were finished, I would sell her and go for your Pacific Seacraft as that is my goal now to move up to a PS, not that the Nor'star has any sailing short comings, in fact I am told that they will outperform the PS on the water, most however are just not as classy..
As we know, the Flicka is a great Sailing Vessel and live aboard when cursing, or for a single person when not.

The Nor'star kit boats were very well built hulls. I owned a Nor'star Anastasia 36. A unique boat.
