[SOLD] For Sale: 2 Martec Dorade Vents

These are old stock, never used. The flap inside, and drain holes on the backside are supposed to keep rain/spray from going down the deck opening. Can't confirm, as they have never been installed.

They are 8 1/2 inches high off deck, 6 inches wide, and deck plates and caps included.

$30 each plus shipping.

Are the white round disks part of the installation hardware? I can't find the Martec Dorade information anywhere on the web. I am trying to determine if they will work on my boat which has screw down flanges not snap-in.

Sorry, these are "3 inch", but actually, I measure a hair over that.

Discs? You mean the dummy plugs for when dorade is not mounted? Included.

Also the ring that is mounted to deck with screws or bolts is included. But the plugs and also the vents themselves snap in the ring base (or whatever it is called) rather than screw in, allowing the vent to be directed according to wind direction. If your ring base is threaded, you would need to replace with these. All components were made by Martec, so are meant to fit together. Possibly no other brand is the same.

The bottom ridge on the "male" part of the vent seems to me to be raised more than necessary, but would better hold the vent in place. I've never forced them together.

I'll buy them. Our two on the stern of our Cape Dory are real funky and need replacing.
