Thumbs up GARMIN GFS10 FUEL SENSOR

Add fuel tracking capabilities to your Garmin chartplotter and optimize your boat's fuel economy. The GFS 10 tracks fuel flow use and sends the data to your chartplotter via the Garmin CANet or NMEA 2000. Unlike other fuel flow sensors, the GFS 10 will include fuel level sensing capability when connected to an existing analog fuel gauge or resistive fuel tank sensor.
  • Installs in your boat's fuel line with 3/8" (9.5mm) hose fittings
  • Fuel resistant plastic housing
  • Fuel flow and fuel level
  • Measures flow rates up to 50 gal./hr. (190 L/hr)
  • 7.6m (25') power/fuel level cable, 1.8m (6')NMEA 2000 drop cable
  • Fuel Level sensing when connected to an existing analog fuel gauge or resistive fueltank sender
  • Gasoline engines only
  • GPSMAP 4xx and 5xx series
  • NMEA 2000 or Garmin CANet
  • CANet compatible units require a CANet kit to complete the connection.
Note: This item was installed on a boat but never used. It was removed with the chart plotter (Garmin 545S) when boat was put up for sale. All original packaging and instructions are included.

Asking $100 US (half MAP) with free Canada Post economy shipping to anywhere in Canada or the US.

Note:
GPSMAP® 4xx and 5xx series CANet compatible units require a CANet kit to complete the connection. The GFS 10 does not work with diesel engines.

Beautiful toy, but read the add carefully... its ONLY for Gasoline engines as it doesn't measure the return flow from a diesel engine.

Correct! I'm not trying to defraud anybody by inferring in any way that it would work on a diesel. Some boats have gas engines too!

Re: GARMIN GFS10 FUEL SENSOR

Hi Rick, sorry for this. I was not accusing you, only tried to point out that not all engines are the same.

BTW. like the toy they must make them to fit on diesels to.

I don't think Garmin does but there are others.
