Thank you SaltyMonkey for helping out and SkiprJohn for the nice comments. :-) Pass along that "Areyto" is for sale to all your friends! Just in case clayzee doesn't become the happy new owner. ;-)

clayzee,
I tried sending you a private message but I couldn't since I'm a new member. Let me know if you are still interested. The boat just had a survey and is currently in Port Louis Marina in Grenada. She is great boat and was described as "turn key" in the survey. I really wish my "real" life plans didn't require selling her now in this market but sometimes there are other things then sailing that direct us. Let me know if you would like discuss further. Were you able to see the advertisement on my blog?

Nice boat.. Great for popping around the islands.. Not so good for ocean crossings...

Remember.. Boats down in the islands go for less money than they do here in the USA..

That however IS a good price for all the work that has been done....

Wheel steering would be a factor in my considerations...

Wow, nice looking boat. Just shows you how "big" a 30 footer really can be.

Look at the bottom... fin keel, cruiser/racer... The difference between a full keel boat and a fin keel boat is known to all knowledgeable sailors... Which style hulled boat would you rather be on during an ocean crossing?? One that is light and tender in wind and waves or one that just stays on a straight course and slog's right through the same sea conditions that would have the fin keeled boat being a lot more work to control... I have had both.. Just saying.. His boat is great for Island hopping down there..

Just sayin? Plenty of knowledgeable sailors would choose a moderate (or even light) displacement, fin-keel, cruiser racer over a heavier full-keel boat. You may choose differently, and that is your perogative, but don't assume that your choice is "right" for everyone, nor that because the OP's boat is not your choice for ocean crossing, it isn't ok for somebody else.
