HHHHHHHHHHMMMMMM -an older wood cat with poor sails and an 'unfinished interior' in a very remote location.......................hhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmm many more boat buyers (of the bargain -seeking type) go to the Rio Dulce looking
GeoLeo- My boat is in Puerto Aventuras Mexico which is not a "remote" location by any means. I don't appreciate your snide comments on my listing thread. Too bad about your "health condition" I hope that it's not contagious. Good luck with the sale of your own boat:http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...da-158257.html I will try to stay off of your thread.
The interior is not unfinished, just needs a little refinishing.
I honestly stated that my foresail is in "poor'' condition, however it is completely usable.
I will be sailing back to the Rio Dulce very soon if I don't find a buyer here. "Thumbs Up" is perfectly functional in every way. I will continue to make improvements and enjoy the "cruising lifestyle" until I get a decent offer.
If you are not interested in considering a skillfully restored glass over ply custom catamaran that is currently located outside of the USA but in a "not so remote" location and you have nothing constructive to say then please STAY OFF OF MY THREAD.

Don't get riled up by people like GeoLeo, they've got nothing better to do with their time and are just looking to get a rise.

Good luck with the sale!

Hello,
May I get the Captain's name? I am very impressed with your work. It looks like you have extended family visiting!

I have traveled in your area, staying in Akumal and Playa. I am able to fly there in about 10 days. Will try to fly on June 7 to 9th. I am very knowledgeable Cat sailor and cruiser. Can we email via gocatman at g-mail dotcom (nohyphen)? DO you have a phone number?

Owned Seawind 1000 a few years ago. Spent 26 days on a Crowther designed 44' cat in 2003, SV Free Spirit, last seen in port in Colombia, after a coral reef incident in the San Blas islands! Thumbs Up looks like a Crowther design from roof in latest pictures. He could have been inspiration for SA builder

Re: Hitch Hiker catamaran 40', $125,000

BTW Captain - The bridgedeck cabin roofline and windshield of your boat look so much like Free Spirit, thinking there is a connection to Crowther. Free Spirit was built in 1988 I think and had been around the world when bought by retired engineer I knew in Spain. He sailed it to Grenada where I became crew in 2003. F S was wood with Epoxy and fiberglass construction, hulls were more like a canoe.
