Re: hunter 37 cutter

Yes shoal draft. Deep is 5 foot I have owned both , the shoal is a longer length fore aft it has a slot for a center board but hunter didn't put it in the 37c they did in the 30 foot cherubini designed boats.

Never sailed the shoal draft, but owned a full draft 37C and loved it!

Re: hunter 37 cutter

I see you are in the carib what was the boat name? I know most from hunter owners. A 37 c was hit by a plane down there, not yours I hope?

When I owned her she was "Vela Narcosis" .... not many by that name I suspect (...just did a quick web search and looks like she's still out there sailing...will have to read more on that! ). Sold here when I was still living in Florida.

Never head of one hit by a plane -- where did that happen?

I've seen a few H-37C's here on the Rio Dulce, and in other cruising venues, in the past few years.

Re: hunter 37 cutter

It got hit down in the carib by a seaplane. Hit the mast I think the boat got cut up for parts. I heard about it on the hunter site the 37 c guys on that site keep pretty good lists of owners , upgrades/ mods your boat may be in the data bank over there. I think one of the guys here to one across to England to sell. Lot of them sailing all over.

More info, My ad is weak, but anyone that is serious would ask? Two 12 volt batteries under floor plus the two in the stock spot. Most running rigging new.,, New exhaust hose. Steel storage cradle. The boat is being used and fixed/upgraded as things come up.
