About a month ago I bought a freshly reconditioned Ideal size 1 windlass from Steve at Sea Chest in San Diego, Every day of my haulout here in Ensenada I have put it up there on the bow, pointed my new bow roller around and I just can't bring myself to drill the holes. My very pointy IOR boat is rejecting it. I want a vertical windlass...I got a great deal from him at $1200 with a new motor, new cover, rebuilt gearcase and a gorgeous brand new bronze brake wheel. He also threw in a used solenoid and double breaker and a cockpit switch. I will include these pieces and a new footswitch. This is the all bronze, gypsy and capstan version with a 5/16 gypsy that fits my G-4 chain $1200 plus shipping from San Diego
