Alec,
Here are some more pics of the phone. One of them is the phone info sticker located under the battery. I don't know how to tell 'what year' the phone is though. I think it will be no more than $25 to ship to Miami via USPS Priority Mail and insured.

Alec,
1) The phone does work
2) You can contact Iridium to get it activated and get a sim card
3) there is no data kit with it
