hum well then. Though I find the delta area, quite charming and peaceful. Though more so during the week...Richardson Bay is just a wee bit urban for me... Though I swing by there every so often, to see how the other boat bums are doing.

BTW, most of the guys and girls here are pretty interesting. Oh sure your going to get some good hearted kidding and once in the while a troll or two. But your getting responses from people here from all around the world and all walks of life. I really don't know another forum that has such a wide range of truly interesting people.
Thanks so much! I think I'm going to try and barter my truck. I know exactly where I want to have my boat. It's in a place that has slips on a sliding scale. The average price is $250 a month and 6 hours community service

With the decline of the West coast fishery here in BC over the years, there used to be many older wood fishboats available for little or nothing, and some are still around for cheap, although they leak like crazy if out of the water for a long time.
And yes, I can't sail as of yet, but am definitely interested in learning. I have my eyes out for a cute "fixer upper"

This thread is a bit like me:
old, used up, beginning to sound like confused gibberish, and getting preoccupied with sexual innuendos without the ability to put up the goods.

NOT.

Re: It never hurts to ask..

I agree, this thread is climbing on the creepy meter.

Michele, with one L, you mentioned Bartering. Here is your answer:

http://oneredpaperclip.blogspot.com/

The website One red paperclip was created by Kyle MacDonald, a Canadian blogger who bartered his way from a single red paperclip to a house in a series of online trades over the course of a year. MacDonald was inspired by the childhood game Bigger, Better, and the site received a considerable amount of notice for tracking the transactions. "A lot of people have been asking how I've stirred up so much publicity around the project, and my simple answer is: 'I have no idea'".

Google away for more info. Now away you go!

Maybe you'll even get yourself one of those $500,000 boats the other guy had no luck finding!!
