We were going to go around the world, and had a Jordan Series Droge built, but the plans have changed. It is the absolute best safety device for blue water, just read up on it ( Jordan Series Drogue - About the Builder, Dave Pelissier of ACE Sailmakers ). We're selling ours for $500. Here is the pricing for one on line:

30,000 lb displacement: Drogue would have 132 cones on 220' line with a 75' leader; total of 295'. Line would be 3/4" nylon double braid, tapering to ½" for the last 75 cones.
