Not to rain on your ad, but you can get these for under $300.00 used all over the place.

If you can buy these for under $300.00, buy six of them and send them to me and I will give you $400.00 each for them. :-)
The cheapest that I have found them for new is $2,195.00. Just the replacement filter for them is more than $300.00.

I'll be happy to do that. I bought a large lot of old but unused, military surplus units in the original unopened packing. I still have two in my garage right now I'll sell you for $400 and I'll pay the shipping. I opened the packages just to inspect them and they look brand new.

But I would feel guilty doing that since I was selling them to forum members at cost plus shipping which was under $300 to the US.

FYI if the unit needed rebuilding you can get a new membrane from Defender for $380 and a complete seal and gasket kit for $130.

The only issue is these units are mostly 20 years old more or less.

I see that the ad says "Routine service MAY BE REQUIRED (i.e. Biocide Treatments, Membrane Replacement)"
I don't think that I want a 20 year old desalinator in my ditch bag.
