For Sale: Key Largo Seawind 1000 1/6th Ownership

I would rather not sell my 1999 Seawind 1000 (1999 Seawind 1000 - Boats.com) and am thinking about setting up a syndication for joint ownership because I own it outright. Seawind Catamarans sets them up routinely in Australia and they are quite successful. I'm thinking of leaving her in Key Largo at a well-protected, low cost slip with a great fetch to the Bahamas or the rest of the Keys and, maybe soon, Cuba. Or, I could leave her at a slip I own at Sunset Harbour Yacht Club, Miami Beach, which is also well-protected.

1/6th ownership with 2 months a year, one in peak season and another in off season with swapping of days and weeks possible. I would buy new sails, new dingy engine and new Lorance HDS broadband GPS, radar and sonar and many other items are new this year including a Raymarine autohelm, new tramps, new bbq, custom closed cell seating, all new halyards and a Mack pack. $150,000 split 6 ways would be $25,000. Monthly fees between $200 and 300/month includes slip, maintenance fund, insurance (that includes major storm coverage), detailing, etc.

The Key Largo slip owner who lives in Key Largo year round and can take care of the boat is ready to purchase a share.
