Large Rigid Boom Vang

$350.00

80" to 70" Length
2" diameter

Came off a 44' boat. I replaced the boom and put in an even bigger vang.

I can include the boom bail/slide attachment point. I will be taking it off the boom in the next two weeks.

Located in Texas. Can ship lower 48 for roughly $45.00 (UPS Ground).

I have the boom track slide off now and will include that with the vang.

Re: Large Rigid Boom Vang

On the boom, how long, & how many sheaves in it for reefing & Cunningham lines. Also, what kind of boat? I just want to get an idea righting moment wise, so as to get a fix on the boom's strength.

Thanks

Re: Large Rigid Boom Vang

It came off a 44' Lafitte. The measurements are fully extended 80" and 70" at the shortest pin.
1 sheave with wire at the top down to a set of triple blocks. Plenty of purchase power.

I replaced the boom on the boat and the new to me boom was cut down from a macgregor 65, so it is a bit taller and heavier than my old boom.

Re: Large Rigid Boom Vang

hey now, I'm assuming this will hold up the boom on our IOR 40' boat, pretty short boom. Can you photograph the ends and any mounting brackets that you can include? We would want you to ship it to San Diego...cool

will try and do that tonight. I have a bracket for the boom, but no bracket for the mast. I do have the pin bit taht would go to the mast bracket. My mast has the bracket welded on.

My boom is over 19' long.
