Want To Buy: Lease or Lease Option on Catamaran

Our family is planning on taking a sabatical for a year and plan on spending at least three to six months of it cruising. our itinerary will either be in the carribean or bahamas and or east coast of US. Since we have never cruised before and aren't sure what we want in a catamaran we were looking to see if anyone had an interest in renting theirs to us for a long term lease or lease with an option to purchase. The economy being what it is we thought there might be some interest out there for someone to have expences and payments covered for a year instead of trying to sell in this depressed market. If security is an issue we would be willing to put up property as collateral on the lease. Please contact us through the messaging system.

The catamaran market is not "depressed" and nobody in right mind would let a inexperienced dude take their boat -let alone their Ins company! LOL

What your are considering is a good idea and hopefully you will find a suitable catamaran for your holiday.Being able to cover the cost of the vessel by putting suitable property to cover any loss or damage that may occur while the vessel is under your command can work though expect to be able to repay from about $300 k upwards.Alternatively you could use your house to borrow and purchase a vessel then resell after your trip.By doing it that way you are free of any time constraints,you may just love the cruising lifestyle and want to go longer.Good luck.
