This pair is in very decent shape. They served as sheet winches on a 20 foot sailboat. They did not get too much use, but they do show some cosmetic signs of wear on top (winch handle). The drums look very good. The gear and pawls look fine. They will not detract from the good looks of your boat.

The winches were cleaned inside after they were taken off the boat. I have been holding on to them since I bought them, but I am pretty sure I will not be using them. I paid $125 for the set, and I selling them to recover some cash for electronics purchase (so little, but it helps)
