Manta 42 Sail Cat

As much as I hate to, it's time to swallow the anchor, end this early retirement gig (it's been great!) and get back to business.

Nauticat is by far the best boat we've ever owned. Here are the specifics:

2000 Manta 42 Sail Cat. Nauticat is hull #55. Twin MD2030C Volvos, S120 sail drives. Sails include a spinnaker in a sock arrangement.

She is in excellent shape! Extensive refit Spring 2009 included:

- sail drive rubber boot & lower seal replacement
- new 3-blade Flex-o-Fold props
- new raw water circ pumps (2)
- Micron 66 bottom paint, Propspeed on props and drive legs
- new 5/16 galv anchor chain 200ft
- new Rocna 20kg galv anchor
- new salt water (anchor) washdown pump
- salon cushions reupholstered, new curtains
- sails re-stitched
- new Dekka gel cell house batteries (6 x 6volt 180ah, 540ah total)
- new B&G wind vane masthead unit
- new stereo AM/FM/CD/USB/iPod receiver (12v)
- new Standard Horizon RAM mike
- NextGen 5.5kw electrical end replaced 12/09, 1 yr warranty
- B&G Autopilot RAM rebuilt March 2010

Equipment list includes:
- Garmin GPSMap 2010C color chart plotter interfaced to B&G AutoPilot. USB data card programmer. Do your trip planning on your laptop and then just update your data card.
- B&G GPS receiver
- Garmin 48 hand held GPS receiver w/dedicated fixed antenna
- Furuno LCD radar
- KVH TrackVision M3 satellite TV antenna
- Dish 501 personal video recorder (PVR)
- Trace SW2512 inverter
- 2 AC units
- Lighthouse 1501 ss windlass w/ remote and chain counter
- Spectra 380c modular water maker, 12gph @20 amps; 6gph @9 amps. (I love this thing!!)
- Splendide washer/dryer combo, vented
- Alliance 11ft RIB w/15hp Yamaha 4-stroke electric start. Running lights, rear arch w/rocket launchers. Great setup!

Everything works! This is a well-equipped cruising catamaran that will let you get out and sail instead of being stuck in a perpetual refit.

I will soon list with a broker at $299k. You can get a better deal direct with me before I do that, but don't wait too long. Boat is enroute from Key West to Punta Gorda FL this week.

Boat: looking for catamaran after monohull was sold recently.

Hi Mark
Interesting offer. I am preparing to sell my Island Packet 37 this spring to look into a smaller cat to start my 'retirment gig' next summer. Even if you go back to land you need something to treat the sailing bug. Would you consider downsizing to a fine monohull that leaves you with a good boat and some cash on top?
Just a thought. Have a good trip from Key West.

Mark, sounds like you have the perfect boat. why don't you keep her for when the cruising bug bites again.

Not really in a position to trade, plans do not include a boat for many reasons. So it's time to move on and let someone else enjoy this great boat.

Sorry to hear you will not be messing with sailboats for a while. On the other hand, you have already where many of us want to go. I wish you luck in your new endeavors and will keep an eye on Nauticat.

Mark,

I'm interested in Mantas of that age/price range. I live in Calif, but plan to buy and keep boat in south florida. Will be in your area May 20-26 and would like to see your boat then if possible.

Also, if you need crew for part of the trip let me know and I can fly out. Would be a great way to check out the boat.
