I am selling a used (new in 1993) fully functioning Monitor Wind Vane with an additional complete spare parts kit (mostly). I purchased it to be used on my Tayana 37 about 7 years ago and it's been sitting in my storage unit ever since. I just clean the unit and put everything together. I have a video showing functional operation as well as pics to share. I purchased it for $1,500 at a swap meet in Miami and I'd like to sell it for $1,250. It is located in Lake City, FL. The only part that is missing is the light air vane, which can be constructed easily from light plywood or it can purchased from www.selfsteer.com for $65. This unit comes with the helm control unit as well as the brackets to attach the vain/mounting tubes to the transom/stern. Depending on the type of yacht, new mounting tubes will need to be remanufactured locally as every boat is designed differently. You will also need to purchase the turning blocks which direct the control lines forward to your helm control unit will need to be purchased an mounted.
