Monitor windvane in very good condition. Mid 90's model rebuilt mid 2000's by previous owner of boat. Used very sparingly in our 5 year ownership. Recently replaced bushings and vane arm. Entire bag of cruising spares and spare breakaway bar. Currently installed on a whitby 42

Yes the unit is still available. Have a few people waiting on spares picture along with additional unit pictures. I will post them here this weekend. I do not have the wheel adapter as this was used with a tiller.

I'm curious about the age you have posted for the Monitor Vane. The age you posted is mid nineties? Is this correct?
Scanmar stopped making the units that looked like yours much before this. Yours has no bar protecting the lower half of the gear. I can forward pictures of the later units and you can compare or you can see the manufacturers website.
Can you please post the serial number located/etched on the main gear assembly. This will have the manufacture date/year and will reduce any ambiguity.

Year may be 1990 based on serial number on the unit. Will contact the company with this number. Previous owner stated unit was installed mid 90's. I had never looked at a serial number to verify or had a reason to as it worked fine. Not trying to mislead anyone on this monitor. Not firm on the price and if anyone should want a new monitor this is not new or near the cost of a new one.
