Morgan Out Island 28, 1974

Esprit is a very stable cruising sailboat with tons of room and tons of storage space. Wonderfully easy to sail. And yes, she does sail very well. No, she is not a racer, but we have had her over 7 knots. PDG for a heavy 28 footer. We just bought a Morgan Out Island 41, so we have to let Esprit go to someone else who will love and care for her.

Sleeps 5: V-berth sleeps 2 with new mattress; Settee table drops down to sleep 2; One more berth aft port side. Head and very large holding tank. Take a look at the listing on sailboatlistings.com listing 16370.

We would be glad to tell you all about her. And you can see her by appointment - we have her on the hard near Bath, Ontario (just west of Kingston).

I too sold my smaller OI for my OI 41'. It's hard to let go of a boat that does so well. We've been living aboard and cruising Morgan Out Islands since 1973. I'm sure you'll enjoy the 41.

Morgan OI 41

Would love to hear any comments from OI 41 owners. Ours is a 1977 Ketch model 415. We purchased her in Florida last fall and had her shipped to Canada. Now there is a huge list of "must do" and "I want" items. In process of joining Morgan41Sailboat owners group on Yahoo.

We are considering changing the prop to a variable pitch prop like MAXIPROP or VARIPROP. Any thoughs on this, given her 4'2" draft keel?

I have the Yanmar 4JH3E 56hp and I'm getting great performance with a three-blade fixed 18x14 prop. I'm not one to take on the complexity of the variable pitched prop, but it may suit you well. Well cruise under power at 6.5 knots with no current or wind factor at 2500rpm. 'take care and joy Aythya crew
