Nautor Swan 43 MS Sloop 1977

I am sorry that I have to sell this dream boat, but things have changed and I need to sell it. Sellers remorse to follow, but someone else will have an amazing vessel and wonderful times with it.
There are a lot of spares including a steering pulley unit, extra shaft, extra fixed three blade prop ( new or newly balanced, etc) and an amazing amount of spares.
If interested, please email me at drbein@aol.com.
Thanks,
Steve

Re: Nautor Swan 43 MS Sloop 1977

Hello there,
Ever sail her solo? I've been reading mixed reviews on her blue water capabilities, mostly that she needs a few hands on deck - but I was under the impression that applied more to the racing models that preceded her. I'm about a year out from buying, (a lot depends on whether I'm doing next year in Ireland or not) - and I'm a big fan of Hans Christian, but I noticed she's packing some displacement; which I like!

I have never sailed her single handed, I usually sail with one or two others and cruised that way also. I know it can be done, but I have never tried.
Good luck with your quest. This is an outstanding cruiser, but you are the final decider if it is for you.

Wolf,

You must have been reading about the other S&S 43. This one can be sailed one handed-ly. Just look at the images. What a shame I do not have this much money.

I love it.

The Swan is new to me, and my short-term memory isn't what it used to be, so yes, I believe you are right Barnakiel - I can't see why I couldn't, but doing is proof. I'm taking a contract in California later this year, not too far from Marina del Rey... if she's still available I may have to check her out. She is a beauty, so I wouldn't be surprised if she's not.
