Navionics Gold Compact Flash Card Gold CF/3XG for Central and South America. See Navionics.com web site for details of coverage. The card was purchased new in 2011 for our arrival in the Caribbean from Europe in December 2011, but I misplaced the card aboard and thus it was never used. I just found it this morning when I was unpacking some more stuff to put on Cruisers Forum!

Will it work in the Raymarine A50. have yet to figure out how to send a pm

Hi, first, to send a PM, just click on the name of the sender of the message. a drop down menu will reveal the choice.

Second, take a look at www.navionics.com and download the compatibility guide for the Americas. The guide shows that the Raymarine A50 and A50d use the Navionics compact flash card format and that the CF-3XG card is compatible

Third, consult your user manual, just to make sure, if you have any lingering doubts.

Navionics offers a year of free chart updates, and I believe that the year starts with your first connection to their update web site (card placed in card reader and connected to your computer. As my card has never been out of the container until I found it yesterday morning, I think that the year update is yet to start. You may want to check this out with Navionics. I don't want to connect it as it would start the year, assuming I am correct.
