For Sale: New Jabsco 18590

Long story short. I have brand new Jabsco 18590-2092 pump for sale.

One of the non-stainless threaded rods broke. I was able to get the broken part out of the pump without damage and am now offering it for sale. Pump will need four SS threaded rods and she good to pump poo.

Cost new is $135 asking $65 + shipping. Pump in St. Petersburg, but could be brought to Delray Beach with some notice. Prefer local delivery.

I'd buy it if it were 24v, to keep as a spare.


A couple of words to the wise about these pumps:

1. If you haven't changed out the old brass studs for the new stainless bolts, DO IT! What happens to your bilge is too horrible to describe when (not IF) one of the brass rods dissolves.

2. When you change impellers on these things, make sure you have new gaskets, and assemble the pump very, very carefully! Use silicone grease to lube up the gaskets so they will seal, and make sure and get the two gaskets on either side of the wear plate, and all parts properly aligned. Someone I know () went a whole year not being able to pump out overboard, because he thought he had a blockage, when in fact, the macerator was just not airtight enough. Don't ask . . .
