New Maretron SSC200 Heading Sensor for NMEA0183

This is Mercury's rebranded Maretron SSC200 solid state heading sensor with gyro function.

I bought this for my Simrad autopilot, but found out the Simnet AT10 adaptor will only send heading info and not the ROT (rate of turn) gyro sentences. I thought I could save money buy purchasing this SSC200 before I read the Simrad requirements for their AT10 adaptor.

This does not output NMEA2000, but does Mercury's Smartcraft info or NMEA 0183. It does output all the 0183 sentences and can be used with any radar or autopilot that will take NMEA 0183 info in.

Save a lot of money over the Maretron unit or any other gyro heading sensor. Lowest price for the Maretron is $549. This is brand new with a brand new 10 meter 0183 cable that has never been opened. I'm selling this for $225 shipped.

I'll throw this on eBay if nobody is interested here.

Thanks,

Matt

Re: New Maretron SSC200 Heading Sensor for NMEA0183

Matt....

Would you consider donating this Heading Sensor to the OpenCPN project?

OpenCPN - Cruisers & Sailing Forums

| Official OpenCPN Homepage

We have a <very> limited budget for test hardware, and currently have no fast heading sensor capability at all. We need this capability to implement and test our upcoming radar overlay PlugIn.

Thanks
Dave
