Nor'Sea 27 #55

ForSaleNorSea27 #55 Marin, San Francisco Bay area

After 25 years of living on her and two near global circumnavigations, health considerations force me to offer my Nor'Sea 27, #55 for sale

If your objective is blue water cruising she's seaworthy and ready to go.

But,

If your emphasis is on pretty, there's work to do inside and out.

You may or may not choose to replace the main diesel tank:

Corrosion of the main tank is a problem affecting early Nor'Seas because the tanks were not TIG welded. Your choice, but not absolutely necessary. There's an alternative available and served me well through most of my first voyage and all of the second. For two different approaches to doing this job see: "http://svguenevere.com/prep/proj/ftank/" and "http://saileva.com/text/tank.html"

*Hauled in December, 2014. Two coats of PPG ABC-3 bottom paint.

*New Main and working jib.
*Spare main.
*Yankee.
*Riding sail.
*Misc. sails...

*Unlike other Nor'Sea 27s her stanchions, push pit, bow pulpit and boom gallows are fabricated from costly 1-1/4" and 2" polished stainless steel pipe.
Topside, stanchions are through bolted to a backing plate. To the backing plate below is welded a length of identical pipe that is similarly through bolted to the sole. Consequently the stanchions are exceptionally strong.

Installed but unused Groco HF marine toilet. 5 gallon holding tank.

*Icom V.H.F. with DSC chip, loud hailer, fog horn, U.S. and international channels.

*Rare Aries bronze/stainless servopendulum windvane.

*Engine, 2YM15 new in 2010 - 1,000 + hrs. No issues.

*Lewmar Fish Pro 1000 electric windlass (new).

*Simpson Lawrence Hyspeed 510 manual windlass for backup.

*Model 6000 Origo Alcohol Stove and Oven

*1000 watt inverter.

*12 volt house and starter batteries.

*Spare 3 blade prop.

*Lots of miscellaneous boat stuff too numerous to list. Examples. Installed Survivor 35 watermaker in need of repair, Prop puller, wire cutter for standing rigging, original 1X19 shrouds and stays, diesel jerry jugs, Non-working Icom-735 SSB. Repairable? AT-120 automatic tuner.

*1-Kiwi Lobo kayak. 1-Advanced Elements, advanced frame inflatable kayak.

$30,000. All reasonable offers will be considered

$30,000, firm.
Sale price takes into consideration the corroded fuel tank and ball park cost for replacement. Not getting into a yeah but it's gonna cost me type of exchange. You will not find another Nor'Sea 27 with the unique features present on this boat for $30,000.

Lots of shiny Nor'Seas if you want shine. But, if you want a Nor'Sea equipped for blue water cruising, with important features other Nor'Seas don't have, look no further.
