Ocean Explorer, 48' Go-Everywhere Aluminum Mono Hull, 2000

Ocean Explorer is a strong and very well build 48 ft custom build aluminium boat from 2000 and is build as a go-everywhere cruiser designed by Roger Marshall . We bought her 2008 in the US as 1st. owner after contractor. We are now approaching the end of our cruise in the Caribbean and are selling her as we are going back to work in Europe L
She has a hydraulic keel which gives her a variable draft of 3,5-6,5 ft and makes her ideal for shallow anchorages and keys that others have to pass due to draft. She has pilothouse that provides shelter and panoramic views while cruising and at anchor. 2 cabins and setee connected to galley. Pressurized and manual water (hot and cold) as well as shower on the diving friendly transom.
Sails: 140% furling genua, jib, fully battened main with 3 reefs. Storm sail mounted on separate track allows it to be set without having to unrig the main. 55 HK Yanmar with 3 bladed folding prop. 5,5 KW diesel genset (110/12 v.)
Ocean Explorer is equipped for extended cruising by ourselves as well as shipyard in Maine and most of her equipment is from 2008/2009 and includes (but is not limited to – for complete list contact me): Bauer diving compressor (serviced by Bauer 2009), 3 diving tanks, 130 W solar panel, wind generator, 2 x EPIRB, Iridium sat phone with minutes and ext antenna, 2 anchors (Bruce+CQR) can be launched simultaneously, chain rinse, auto pilot, 3 x VHF, radar, AIS, air condition (hot+cold), PC, 12” touch screen+20” flat screen, water cooled fridge, dinghy with 4-stroke 6 HP.
This boat is cruising and needs no upgrade – just continue cruising. Owner is selling and we are currently in the Caribbean where there is a unique chance to inspect her with us.
Price US$ 299.000,- For more details, photos etc contact me.
