Pacific Charts

I am looking for used charts and cruising guides for the Galapogos - S. Pacific - New Zealand/Australia route. I already have the world Maxsea chart but am looking for paper charts for backup. Please email Benhsailing@gmail.com

Thanks!
Ben

I do believe you can print off the charts from Maxsea just take a laptop to a print shop with the size plotter you want the charts.

That's true...although having to print out hundreds of plots seems a bit of pain, but if that can save $1K+ it may well worth the trouble. I have to price out that approach yet.

Go to NZ national cartographic authority site and download from there. They give away tiffs of Pacific charts!

I can recommend Bellingham Chart Printers in U.S (Tides End Charts). I purchased the relative portfolios in 2/3 size. They are very efficient at dispatching charts to anywhere in the world. They are in black and white so get some high-lighters too...well what else are you going to do on the Galapagos-Marqais' trip...Uh oh starting to remenisce again!

Pacific charts, color, tiff, files from NZ govt.

Here link:

Tiffs to print in full size color. Plenty of good stuff for the Pacific sailor.

Why? And you are a week late. I just dumped out 30 kilos of the charts you seek: Everything from California to SE Asia. Hundreds. They are useless. How are you going to update them? Where are you going to store them? You'll never look at them. I only retained a few very small scale charts for planning long legs. Subscribe to real electronic charts. If you really need backup for a long voyage sketch or print the needed details off the computer. Thank me later.
