To be honest, the book isn't that great. Pretty outdated. It will probably have a bit of helpful info and some chart insight, but if you are really going to the Solomons then you should try to find the ICA Solomon Guide by Dirk Sieling.
Not cheap, but the best there is for that area:

Difficult to find the book I have now. Looks like Waypoints still carries it though.
