Want To Buy: Perkins 4-108 50hp

Hi-
Looking for leads on the above mentioned Perkins w/reduction gear. A friend needs to re-power an old Cheoy Lee... Will chase down leads on both those that have been rebuilt by commercial operations (please send your recommendations!) and those you've pulled and left stored in the yard...
Any help in appreciated.

tadiesels.com has rebuilts ready to go. I haven't used them, I just ran across them while looking for parts. They are located in VA.

Foley engines also has 4.108s.

Depends where you are:

Im in West Australia, and picking up second hand 4108 stuff has been problematic. I havent managed to find a second hand entire engine within 4000km.

TAD and Foley do not seem to return emails - possibly the thought of freighting to West Australia puts into the "to hard" basket.
