Well there's a surprise.... something falling apart on the outside of a 4-107 eh??? You don't say???

Welcome to CF and your initiation procedure! You gotta take us in stride man....

More of a thread bump than anything, and an intro... Others here will have sources... FYI... I think there are threads on here where people have retrofitted generic exchangers wanting better service life/quality... Could be wrong about the model though....

Now say it with me.... The 4-107 serenity prayer:

God, As an owner of a 4-107....
give me grace to accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, Courage to change the things which should be changed, and the Wisdom to distinguish the one from the other. Living one day at a time, Enjoying one moment at a time, Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace....

Re: Perkins Dual Heat Exchanger

Actually, HappyMDSailor, I'm not that new here.
As for my little Perkins 4-107, I built her from the ground up. By ground up I mean from an stripped out empty block. I know her inner-workings. She runs like brand new. As you probably know, most people aren't very delicate when wrenching on the fitting. The dual I'm replacing still works, but has badly bent fitting on the shell. It came off an egine I salvaged. I take pride in my engine and I don't want bent parts, which my eventually crack.
Thanks for the prayer. I'll keep it in mind when I'm 2000 miles away from shore.

Oooooooh! My bad..... I saw the 1 (for image) and mistook it for posts.... I gotta slow down man.... Sorry!

Nothing wrong at all with a 4-107.... One of the most reliable powerplants out there... I know.... I got one!.... The ancillaries are less than to be desired sometimes.... But.... give me a troubled cav pump in the remotes... and we'll get it going for sure... not so with others!

You'll be chugging along much longer than 2k with your rebuild!

I have several, along with 5 4-107 parts engines. Email me if you still need it, or anything else for your engine.

Try bowman heat exchangers for aftermarket heat exchanger parts.
