Looking for a old refrigeration system using a DC motor driven compressor. Require the motor, compressor and condenser if possible. Please do not respond with any more modern system. Please PM me if you have such a system or at least a motor & compressor. Thanks first dutchman

Hey Dutch...I've seen people make there own with an automotive compressor and a DC motor. Just my 2 cents worth

Re: Refrigerator System

Hi, I am in the process of replacing my Grunart 12 volt fridge and freezer system. It runs great. In the middle of August in Key West our 9 cubic ft freezer stays at 20 degrees (f) and our 12 cubic ft fridge is always 40. Plenty of cold but it uses about 225 amp hours a day to make it happen. We just don't need that much cold and are replacing it with a smaller capacity system.

System includes:
2 freezer plates
1 fridge plate
12v Grunart compressor/condensor with newly rebuilt 12v motor
separate freezer and fridge thermostats
2 control solenoids
control box
copper lines

You will have to supply a 12v seawater pump (waterpuppy works well) and hoses to the condensor.

It will have to be evacuated and recharged with R-22 but any qualified marine fridge tech can do it in an hour or so.

Paid $4000 for it new back in 1996 so make me a fair offer and its yours. Shipping from Key West, FL.
