Want To Buy: Rudder head

Looking for a bronze rudder head to fit a 1-1/4" rudder stock. There is a 1/4" key way on the forward side of the rudder stock. I would prefer the style that is held to the rudder stock by tightening a bolt that compresses the rudder head.

You could try Rig-Rite, although there have been mixed reviews lately about customer service (or even whether or not they still exist as a business).

Edit - sorry, looks like in your size they all have keys on the aft side, didn't catch that.

Thanks or the reply Dsanduril. You are correct, the rudder head assemblies at Rig-rite are essentially identical to those at Spartan marine and while they do provide a rudder head for an 1-1/4" shaft the keyway is on the aft side Otherwise this is exactly what I am looking for.

if you take it to a machine shop, they can cut you a new keyway on the side you need. You could also fill in the keyway that's on the wrong side.
