I am on my way to a re-power, and have a nice little W30 for sale that would make an ideal rebuild candidate. She burns no oil, has about 3600 hrs, comes with a:
year old water pump">raw water pump
100amp Balmar alternator
1 year old fuel injection pump
1 year old lift pump
The engine was leaking some coolant from the rear end of the head gasket when I bought the boat 2 years ago, but was treated with some Bars stop leak that did an excellent job. I think you could install a head gasket on this and use it for a long time for coastal or day sailing, or rebuild the engine completely.
If I can't get about $1200 for the whole engine, I guess that I will part it out--really rather see it go to someone who will rebuild.
