No. The Simpson-Lawrence Hyspeed 510 case is diecast aluminum alloy. It was manufactured with an etch coating and stove enamel. This unit is older and has lost its surface paint. These units are commonly refurbished with new paint when desired (original was white). Windlass is chain drive. Gipsy is galvanized iron with bronze control nut and handle sockets chrome plated. Hope this is helpful.

Is the handle included? How about the manual? My chain is 5/16 and 1/4. I guess that requires different gypsies. Advice, please, on availability and cost.

Yes, both handle and original owner's manual are included.

What is the serial number? There is one for sale in my boatyard in excellent condition without a handle, but it includes a mounting base and manual. I saw in the manual on line that the 3/8" gypsy also covers down to 1/4" chain. Where are you located and how much does it weigh? I would appreciate better pictures from both sides, as the one you have posted is dark. Thanks!
