Want To Buy: Sailboat Needed

Eight Months ago my wife and I baught a 1978 37" Irwin center cockpit for $5,000 the hull was in good shape and the interior was avarage it was set up coastal cruising but my goal was to become a full time cruiser. Since then I have spent about $50,000 replacing everything and the boat is in tip top shape. My point is this: I got motivated jumped in without doing alot of homework I spent alot of $$ to refit to make me feel secure for off shore sailing on a boat that now I think is too small for my liking/goals. If I did it again I would do my homework on makes/models and buy one almost ready to go becouse West Marine/Port Supply stock went up becouse of my purchases.

ASIMPLELIFE.....Thanks for your input! I am doing my best to research all options. My #1 goal is safety for my family...This is a dream of ours and I want it to happen but I also want to do it right!

I have a 30' fixer upper in the price range you are looking at . It is located in Florida . The boat is a 1971 Tradewind auxiliary semi custom aft cockpit sloop, manufactured at the tradewind Yard in Long Beach Ca. (as #7 of 12 produced)
LOA 32'0" , BEAM : 9'10" Draft 5'10" Displacement 13500 lbs
