Hey Rick. Gotta make sure you're the right person. Your wife is the one who kissed the stingray in Georgetown? Either way, thanks for missing us. I heard a lot of folks missed us. We've missed it like crazy ourselves. Land life sucks. But it's only temporary for a few more years then we'll be out there again. Plan on being on a smaller boat as our daughter won't be with us then.
The music biz has been fun. Colin and I were fairly active when we got back. But we learned early on that it's real hard to get gigs. We had a bunch. But the restaurant/bar owners want established bands that bring in good crowds.
I have a new partner now. Check out the Bilge Boys websites at: The Home of the Bilge Boys | Email: thebilgeboys@yahoo.com and myspace.com/thebilgeboys.

And if you know of anyone looking for a boat like ours, please pass my info along.
And Nate, thanks for the compliments.

Scott

Out of curiosity, how much wind does it take to move at hull speed without power?

Since it's a motorsailer, we usually motorsail, make sense eh? But we've had her at around 5 1/2 knots, on the knotmeter, with approx 12+ knots of wind. And that's all an estimate. When we go out for a leisurely sail in either Tampa Bay or the gulf, we're really not monitoring the speed and wind. I know it's sound like an avoiding answer, but it's the truth. We just go out, hoist the sails, bring out the guitar and the munchies and have at it. This boat will not win any races and we didn't buy it to. But motorsailing, she flies.
