For Sale -- a SCS PTC-IIe USB Controller. This unit is like brand new and has been used very little and never abused. Included with the modem are several cables including the12V power cable with Power Pole connectors. One RS-232 data cable and one RS-232 to USB cable. One USB cable (modem to computer). Comes with the original instruction manual and the original CD. Price is $650 plus shipping (ground or faster if requested).

I have a PTC II with manual and cables I would sell for $550 delivered to you. It does need a new 12V cable, but that is a standard round one that are easy enough to get.

I am realistically a long way off from needing this and could better use the money for other projects.

You should be aware that if you buy the old original Pactor II or early models of the IIe you may have to talk to SCS in Germany about the Pactor 3 licensing. These older modems don't have a hardware serial number, so the licensing for the Pactor 3 support is tied to the station call signs with a limit of 3 call signs. The modem will work fine with Pactor 2 but won't use the Pactor 3. SCS will be happy to change the licensing for free.

I have never used mine, but believe it is pactor II only. If you are using Winlink, pactor II is fine, but with sail mail and time limits you will need 3.

I had a TRX PTC with 3 upgrade on my last boat and rarely had 3 connection speeds via Winlink. I have never used sailmail so do not know if there connections match their imposed time limits.
