Astra IIIB Whole Horizon sextant. I purchased this for my father when he was in ill health and poor mood in his mid 80's. He was a navigator in WW2 and I felt this might lift his spirits. Unfortunately, he never fully recovered. The sextant is in like new condition, never used. There are no scratches, blemishes, or defects in any way. This sells new from Celestaire for $659. I will sell for $495 and buyer pays freight. Sextant located in Houston, Texas

Thanks for your continued interest, svajone. Would you consider $400? Something else that I feel is important is the purchase of shipping insurance. I was hoping that the sextant would sell to someone in the Houston area which would eliminate the shipping problem, but alas, no interest from Houstonians yet. So, here is a possible compromise, the selling price is $400, buyer pays freight, and I share half the cost of the insurance (I'm guessing around $20). Your thoughts...

I just sold mine here, your price is really fair at $400 so don't be discouraged, I dropped my price to 375 to get it done so I can buy new batteries,
It is a good quality instrument and worth your price.

JHH sorry for the late reply. I will have to pass this time. I was not looking to spend more than $300 total. Good look selling your Sextant.
