Sextant

Hi All,

I am looking to buy a Davis Mark 25 sextant or any other reasonably accurate (and durable) inexpensive sextant. I can spend around 100 dollars.

Also, if not a Mark 25, something pretty would be nice

I'll be fiddling with it on land, mostly, but I'm hoping to transfer it to a cruising environment as soon as possible!

I would like to pay the Mark 15 price, but isn't the full mirror better?
I also read that the plastic on the Mark 25 is more stable...

Davis Mark 25

Hi Larboard.. I have a Davis Mark 25 with beam converger and the extra lenses that came with it. All in original box. I've never used it and was told it was a backup unit for the cruisers from whom I bought it and they did not use it. looks new. It has been sitting a while and may be a little dusty... I won't clean it, leaving you to do it as you wish [not dirty...just a bit of dust]. I'll sell it to you for your $100 and ship it to you free. I'm a new member, but have a perfect record as a buyer with ebay. You'll get what you pay for ... and if you don't like it you can return it for a full refund .. if you wish to contact me: the_tentmakers at hotmail dot com [be sure the underscore is placed between the and tent...
