For Sale: Sextant - Exception Simtex Mariner

I have for sale a Simtex mariner Sextant by Toizaki. It is in absolute MINT condition. I purchased it from the original owner who bought it for a transpac race many years ago but never used it.
This is an extremely high quality sextant - better than a Plath or Tamaya.
The sun shades are not tinted filters but rotating polarized glass.
Included are 7x35 and zero magnification tube and beautiful wood case with all the accessories. Certificate of examination shows 0 error arc index corrections.
This easily compares to a new sextant in the $1800-$2,200 range. You will be delighted. My cruising kitty's low and I hate to have to sell this.

Simex (sic) is just a brand name. To the best of my knowledge, the "Mariner" model was actually made by Tamaya during the 1970's.

Better than Plath? Well, everybody has an opinion!
