Shade Tree Awnings for Sale

We have a set of shade tree awnings model # 140 (taper bow), and 240 (rectangular), used on our 40ft Island Packet. They are oyster color and have only been used a few times. They did keep the interior of our boat about 10 degrees cooler during the hottest part of the summer and made our AC work less hard. We found that they were great for use in the marina but when we are cruising we rarely put them up. We are getting ready to cruise full time and so we are trying to find a good home for them.

READ: As supplied we found that the bow awning wands were too long and caused the front to take on an upside down horseshoe appearance. The aft end of the rear awning also bowed out due to the narrowing of the beam so we shortened that wand also. Both awnings also stood too high off the lifelines for our liking. We shortened the support wands for a cleaner look at the bow and to bring them down closer to the life lines, giving more effective shade coverage. We also had the the webbing straps folded back and sewn to shorten them and allow the awning to stay close to the life lines. The webbing can be returned to original length by snipping the stitches. The wand sections we removed can be re-attached if needed. There are also several extra full length wands we some how acquired.

current new prices are $625 and $645 respectively. http://www.intheshd.com/

asking $625 obo plus shipping for both, estimated weight is about 30lbs or so
