That seems like a pretty portable skill set, especially working for the cell phone industry. The database work is one that you might be able to do onboard cruising, at least until you get out of range of a high speed connection.

Scott,

Having a dream is not enough. Just wanting something is nice, but the goal is only obtained through sweat and tears. If what you want is in your heart then you will do what needs to be done, no one will get you there. Some may help, some may ridicule while others will ignore you, but in the end it is you and all the things that will rise up to challenge you.

Either you give in or you surpass yourself and accomplish your goal. Its life and its character building, and if you get to where you want to be, the day that you face your challenges at sea, you will know you will survive because now you believe in what you can do ..
