Given that brand new panels are readily available for under $1/watt what makes these worth 3 times the price?

The Sunsei 8000 panels list for $1000++ on the web, like 130W panels were about 10-15 years ago!

Prices have dropped significantly since, for example a new Kyocera 140W will sell for under $300/panel:

The Sunsei line used to be carried by West Marine but no longer, they had some issues with the manufacturer...
