For Sale: Sparkman and Stephens 34

With a lot of regret I am selling my Sparkman and Stephens 34. I simply do not get the chance to sail her enough and the ongoing pen and insurance costs prevent me from doing any sailing overseas and visiting family overseas.

This is proven blue water ocean-going model. She comes with all mechanical, electrical, electronic and rigging fittings and spares and is fully-equipped for cruising, trips away or live-aboard use.

Constructed in 1985, this yacht was fully refitted and repainted in 2004. A very recent survey is available. Last slipped and de-fouled a year ago, a new propeller shaft and stern bearing were installed, together with a new stainless steel 3-blade folding prop. The engine is a powerful Yanmar 30 HP, with less than 200 hours on the clock. Main cabin and chart seat upholstery recently replaced. Lazy jack zips replaced, and stitching reinforced, all winches serviced. List of recent work done can be supplied.

Inside she sleeps sleeps four or more, with a double berth forward, a berth in the main cabin to starboard and another double berth if the table is lowered. To port, behind the chart table there is a quarter berth. To starboard there is the fully equipped galley with a Smev 3-burner gas cooker with oven and grill also including a fridge / freezer. Full headroom in main (forward) cabin.

All safety gear for ocean going trips is included: epirb, flares, life jackets a new 4-man SOLAS approved life raft. Raymarine navigation with radar and charts from Australia and new Zealand. Wind vane and auto pilot included. She has solar and wind generators and fully set up cole hersee battery switch system. She has 100 liter water tank and 90 liter diesel. Two head sails, mainsail, stormsail and spinnaker with two spinnaker poles. Dinghy and outboard (Mercury 3.5hp) are included. Asking price, 85,000 Australian dollars.
